Meet Natale Ricciardi

Natale Ricciardi

If you are trusting someone with your family’s estate, it is fair to want to know who that person actually is before you pick up the phone. Natale Ricciardi, the Founding Principal of TLS, spent more than a decade managing Fremantle’s largest law firm before starting TLS to focus specifically on estate planning and deceased estates work in Western Australia.

An accreditation that is genuinely hard to earn

Natale is an Accredited Specialist in Wills and Estates with the Law Society of Western Australia, a peer-recognised accreditation rather than a marketing label. He is also a General Public Notary for the State of Western Australia and an admitted Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia.

Built on more than two decades of real practice, not a standing start

Before founding TLS, Natale was a director of a boutique law firm, then spent more than ten years as a director of the largest law firm in Fremantle. During that time he was directly involved in restructuring the firm, upgrading its systems and offices, refining financial control and reporting, and building the strategy behind its growth. That is a different kind of experience to running a single practice area: it means he has developed a well-run legal business, and built TLS to exceed that standard.

What he actually does day to day

Natale leads TLS’s Management, Estate Planning, Deceased Estates, and Disputed Estates teams. His own description of the work is plain and specific: drafting Wills, including Testamentary Trust Wills; drafting Enduring Powers of Attorney and Guardianship; applying to SAT for guardianship or administration orders; handling the paperwork after someone has died; applying for Probate or Letters of Administration, including complex applications and foreign Wills; resolving disputes over deceased estates; and issuing Family Provision Act claims where beneficiaries have not been adequately provided for.

Plain language, on purpose

One line from his own profile sums up the approach TLS is built around: explaining legal documents in plain language. That shows up in how TLS talks about Probate, Letters of Administration, and disputed estates on its website, and it is a deliberate choice, not an accident of house style.

Beyond the file work

Natale also supervises, guides, and mentors law graduates and junior lawyers, and is a member of Collaborative Practice WA, a group of professionals who work as a team to resolve estate conflicts without litigation where possible, in a way that reduces cost and preserves family relationships. Outside the firm, he volunteers his time as a committee member for several local clubs and associations.
