Get to Know Danielle Barker
After commencing my studies at Macquarie University NSW, I made a sea change and graduated from Murdoch University WA with a Bachelor of Laws in 2020.
While completing my Bachelor of Laws, I worked as a law clerk at a boutique law firm that specialised in Succession Law, while also volunteering for not-for-profit organisations, Refugee Advice Casework Services, Everyday Justice and Path of Hope Foundation. Volunteering for these not-for-profit organisations provided me with exposure to other practice areas such as Immigration Law and Tenancy Law.
After being admitted as a lawyer and officer of the Supreme Court of WA in 2021, I chose to specialise in Succession Law. I worked at the largest law firm in Fremantle, where I was mentored by Natale Ricciardi, the Founding Principal of Tactical Legal Solutions (TLS). Because of this, you may notice that Natale and I share similar idiosyncrasies, such as our love for formatting and the phrase “For the avoidance of doubt…”
Over the years, I have gained a wealth of experience in all services offered by TLS, that is:
- Wills and Estates Planning;
- Enduring Powers of Attorney and Enduring Powers of Guardianship;
- Probate and Letters of Administration;
- Deceased Estate Administration; and
- Contested or Disputed Estates.
I aspire to deliver pragmatic advice to my clients. My experience in the “back-end” of Succession Law assists me in identifying potential issues and ‘stress-testing’ my clients’ estate plans, allowing me to be a better “front-end” drafter.
Outside of work, my hobbies include eating and Muay Thai, which seems somewhat contradictory when expressed in the same sentence.
I am delighted to be a part of the TLS Team from its foundation, and I look forward to developing a strong working relationship with my clients.
